Our goal is to rescue slaughter-bound horses that still have quality of life. We focus on industry exploited and unwanted horses that are safe, sound or serviceably sound and useable with a future in an equine relationship either for pleasure, competition or companionship.

Donations to CBER are used for the care of horses removed from the lot, community rescues, feed and care of rescued lot horses and CBER sponsored horses, including feed, veterinary, and farrier, euthanasia of horses that are suffering, and other CBER expenses to help the horses and get the word out about slaughter.

ATTENTION Volunteer groomers and handlers are needed in Yakima! 4Hers or anyone with at least some experience handling horses are needed at the boarding facility where CBER boards many of the sponsored rescue horses. These guys all need to be handled, groomed, stalls cleaned.........and lots of TLC. Please email Sam, to offer your much needed services. Thanks! Age limit 14 and up.

Much Needed Medical Help for the feedlot horses. - Donate to our medical fund, it will go towards vaccinations, worming, supplies such as penicillen, novasan and emergency farrier and veterinarian care.
